The greater the challenge, the greater the need for the many advantages that leadership provides. And the more leaders a team develops, the greater the edge from leadership.
The edge gained from good leadership is quite evident in sports, but the power of leadership carries over into every field. The business that is run by a top-notch leader often finds its market niche first and outperforms its rivals, even if the rivals possess greater talent. The nonprofit organization headed by strong leaders recruits more players, equips them to lead, and serves a greater number of people as a result. Even in a technical area such as engineering or construction, leadership is invaluable in ensuring the team is successful.
“Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert
and streams in the wasteland.”
“There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.”
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
“A man who does not plan long ahead will find trouble at his door.”
“It is not the strongest of the species that survive, not the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.”
“To accomplish great things, we must not only act but also dream. Not only plan but also believe.”

A salesman, an account manager and their director were walking to lunch when they found a very old lamp.
The manager rubbed the lamp and a genie came out and said, “I will make your wish come true. One wish each.
” The salesman said “Me first! I want to be in Tahiti, sunbathing with a pina colada in my hand, surrounded by beautiful girls.” And poof! He was gone.
“Me next!” said the account manager. “I want to be in Maldives, relaxing at a spa resort together with the love of my life.” And poof! He was gone.
“OK, your turn,” the genie said to the director. The director said, “I want those two idiots back in the office as soon as I finish my lunch.”
Moral of the story: It is strongly advised to hear the opinion of all the people in the meeting room, especially that of your superiors, before you are hurried into a decision.
